Paint the Town Red
Last evening some of the ladies from Effort Trust got a chance to schmooze with the local celebrities of Hamilton and enjoyed a lovely dinner hosted by the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. This event was the 7th annual "Paint the Town Red" Gala to raise money for much needed Palliative Care in Greater Hamilton.
The Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice provides "excellence in care" to families at no cost to them, in their home, hospital, long term care facility and their very own residential hospice. Whether it's a volunteer visiting program, day program, residential program or supportive care program, the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice is there for so many.
Many supporters joined together for an evening of good food, wine and song and helped to raise money for a worthy cause. Raffles and a live auction brought in much needed funds and our very own Mayor, Mr. Fred Eisenberger, even raffled off a lunch with himself and rose over $1000. Way to go everyone! Looks like another successful event.
From some of the Effort Trust staff;
"Just wanted to thank you for the tickets, we had a really great time."
